Awaam Pakistan Party Demands Immediate Cut in Petroleum Prices Amid Global Oil Price Decline

Quetta: Syed Aman Shah, Provincial Convener of Awaam Pakistan Party Balochistan, has strongly criticized the government’s decision to keep petroleum prices unchanged despite a significant decline in global crude oil prices following the ceasefire between Iran and the United States. He stated that while international oil prices have dropped considerably, the people of Pakistan have been denied any benefit. Instead of reducing petroleum prices, the government continues to burden the public with high fuel costs, which is both unfortunate and anti-people.Syed Aman Shah said it is unacceptable to maintain high prices of petrol, diesel, and other petroleum products when crude oil has become cheaper in the international market. He urged the government to immediately revise petroleum prices in line with global market trends so that inflation-hit citizens can receive much-needed relief.

He further stated that expensive fuel has increased transportation costs, driven up food prices, and made basic necessities unaffordable for ordinary people. Inflation has reached alarming levels, while unemployment and poverty continue to rise. Millions of families are struggling to afford two meals a day, and worsening economic conditions are pushing many people into despair.Syed Aman Shah demanded that the government immediately announce a substantial reduction in petroleum prices, take emergency measures to control inflation, and provide meaningful relief to the people. Otherwise, Awaam Pakistan Party will be compelled to launch a nationwide protest campaign to protect the rights of the public.
