Cholpon-Ata, Kyrgyzstan: The Presidents of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan jointly attended the opening ceremony of the UIM F1H2O World Championship – Grand Prix of the Kyrgyz Republic (Issyk-Kul 2026), highlighting regional unity and support for international sporting events.
During the ceremony, the four leaders met with participating drivers, wished them success in the competition, and were presented with one of the championship race boats. They also jointly activated a symbolic launch mechanism, officially inaugurating the Issyk-Kul stage of the championship.The event has brought together eight teams and 18 drivers from several countries, including the United Arab Emirates, Australia, Canada, and other nations, underscoring the growing international profile of the championship.
Hosting the UIM F1H2O Grand Prix for the first time, Kyrgyzstan aims to establish the event as one of its premier international sporting and cultural attractions, promoting tourism and regional engagement.The opening ceremony took place on the sidelines of the Informal Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia and Azerbaijan, where the presidents of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, and Azerbaijan discussed regional cooperation, trade, transport and logistics, and ways to strengthen strategic partnerships across the region.
