ISLAMABAD (Staff Reporter): Prominent leaders of Islamabad’s Christian community, including Dr. Sharafat, Nadeem Masih and Arif Jameson, have joined the Pakistan Awami Quwat Party.Pakistan Awami Quwat Party Chairman and Chairman of Rawal General & Dental Hospital and Rawal Foundation, Khaqan Waheed Khawaja, welcomed the new members by presenting them with party flags during a ceremony.
The event was attended by several political and social figures, including Arshad Gill, Malik Sohail, Dr. Sharafat, Rafiqat Khokhar and Seneson Jones.Addressing the gathering, Khaqan Waheed Khawaja said the Pakistan Awami Quwat Party was committed to protecting the rights of minorities and had always given importance to interfaith harmony.He said respect for every religion and every individual was a fundamental part of the party’s manifesto.Khaqan Waheed Khawaja noted that people from different sections of society, including prominent figures and ordinary citizens, were joining the party.
He said the participation of leading members of the Christian community demonstrated that the Pakistan Awami Quwat Party was a party of and for the people, with its doors open to followers of all religions.The newly joined Christian community leaders said they found significant representation and importance for themselves in the party’s manifesto, which encouraged them to become part of the Pakistan Awami Quwat Party.
