Usman Shaukat, President RCCI, has welcomed Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s announcement of a significant reduction in fuel prices and expressed hope that this step will help reduce inflation, particularly the import bill and food inflation. He said the move would also support tourism, trade, and goods transportation across the country.He further urged the government to bring taxes down to single digits to provide additional relief to businesses and the general public.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has announced a major fuel price cut, reducing petrol by Rs74 and diesel by Rs67 per litre. Petrol will now cost Rs299 per litre, while diesel will be available at Rs311 per litre.
