ISLAMABAD: The Journalist Foundation Pakistan and Umar Diagnostic & Specialist Clinics (ODC) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to provide journalists and their families with affordable medical and diagnostic facilities.Under the agreement, members of the Journalist Foundation will receive up to 50 percent discounts on various diagnostic tests, while a 20 percent discount will be available on MRI services.A delegation of the Journalist Foundation, headed by President Z.A. Malik, visited Umar Diagnostic & Specialist Clinics.
Central General Secretary Riffaqat Hussain, Information Secretary Aamir Mehboob, and Governing Body Member Muhammad Akhlaq were part of the delegation.The MoU was signed by Central General Secretary Riffaqat Hussain on behalf of the Journalist Foundation and Syed Qaiser Shah, CEO of Umar Diagnostic & Specialist Clinics, on behalf of ODC.
Under the agreement, Journalist Foundation members can avail the discounted services by presenting their valid membership cards at the clinic.The initiative is aimed at easing the financial burden on journalists and their families and helping them access quality diagnostic and medical services at discounted rates.
