Kazakhstan’s grain products are reaching an expanding number of international markets, with exports growing across Central Asia, the Middle East, North Africa and Europe.According to Kazakhstan Temir Zholy (KTZ), grain transportation reached 852,000 tons during the first 20 days of September 2026, marking a 7% increase year-on-year.Grain exports rose 10% to 674,000 tons, supported by higher shipments to key markets.
Uzbekistan imported 319,000 tons, up 20% year-on-year, while exports to Tajikistan increased 21% to 116,000 tons.Shipments to China recorded particularly strong growth, reaching 101,000 tons—2.5 times the volume recorded during the same period last year.Exports of processed grain products also increased, with shipments of milled products rising 24% to 134,000 tons during the first 20 days of September.
The latest figures highlight Kazakhstan’s expanding presence in international grain markets, driven by rising exports of both raw grain and processed products.Earlier, Kazakh Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov instructed the government to ensure the timely completion of the country’s harvesting campaign.
