ISLAMABAD: Senior Vice President of the Pak-UK Trade Forum, Khurshid Ahmed Hashmi, has described the recent understanding reached between the United States and Iran as a significant outcome of Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts, stating that the development represents a positive and encouraging step towards reducing global tensions and promoting peace and stability in the region.In a statement issued here, he said that the consensus achieved between the United States and Iran clearly demonstrates that even the most complex disputes can be resolved through negotiations, mutual understanding, and diplomatic engagement.
This confidence-building process between two important nations, he noted, will not only generate new hope for regional peace but also pave the way for enhanced economic cooperation and stronger bilateral relations.Mr. Hashmi stated that Pakistan played a responsible, balanced, and constructive role in facilitating an environment conducive to reconciliation, a contribution that the entire nation can rightly take pride in. He extended heartfelt congratulations to President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, and the entire Pakistani diplomatic leadership on this important achievement.
He said that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s political wisdom, proactive diplomacy, and continuous engagement with global leaders effectively projected Pakistan’s position on the international stage and further enhanced the country’s reputation.Similarly, he observed that Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir demonstrated exceptional prudence, foresight, and leadership in promoting national security, regional harmony, and stability, thereby further strengthening Pakistan’s prestige at the global level.
