LCCI, Baba Guru Nanak University Sign MoU to Strengthen Industry-Academia Collaboration

LAHORE: The Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry (LCCI) and Baba Guru Nanak University (BGNU), Nankana Sahib, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at fostering closer collaboration between academia and industry.The agreement is designed to bridge the gap between education and the business sector by promoting student internships, industry-driven research, curriculum development, guest lectures, innovation, entrepreneurship, and technology commercialization.

The partnership is expected to create new opportunities for students, researchers, and the business community by encouraging practical learning, knowledge exchange, and the commercialization of innovative ideas.The MoU was signed by Acting President of LCCI, Tanveer Ahmad Sheikh, and Vice Chancellor of Baba Guru Nanak University, Dr. Shahid Imran, PMP®. Both institutions expressed confidence that the collaboration will contribute to developing a skilled workforce, strengthening research, and supporting sustainable economic growth through closer industry-academia engagement.
