Ishaq Dar and Ahmed Attaf meet in Amman, reaffirm commitment to stronger ties and regional stability.
Amman, Jordan, August 5, 2026: Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Muhammad Ishaq Dar, held a bilateral meeting with Algeria’s Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs, Ahmed Attaf, on the sidelines of the Arab Ministerial Committee meeting titled “In Support of Jerusalem and its Holy Sites” in Amman.During the meeting, the two leaders reviewed the current state of Pakistan-Algeria relations and reaffirmed their shared commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation across a wide range of sectors.
They agreed to intensify efforts to activate existing cooperation mechanisms and further expand collaboration at the earliest opportunity.The ministers also exchanged views on key regional and international developments of mutual concern, with particular focus on the Palestinian issue and the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip.
The discussions further highlighted Pakistan’s diplomatic and mediation efforts aimed at reducing tensions and promoting peace and stability in the Middle East.The meeting underscored the strong and longstanding friendship between Pakistan and Algeria, as both countries reiterated their resolve to enhance bilateral engagement and continue close coordination on regional and international issues.
