ISLAMABAD, Apr 19 (IN): Pakistan Army secured the Inter-Departmental National Kabaddi Championship title after defeating Pakistan Air Force 41-31 in a high-energy final held in Faisalabad.
The tournament, organized by the Pakistan Kabaddi Federation (PKF) in collaboration with divisional and district associations, featured eight teams including Pakistan Army, Pakistan Air Force, Pakistan Police, WAPDA, Pakistan Ordnance Factories Wah, Higher Education Commission (HEC), and ASF.The final drew an enthusiastic crowd and showcased an intense contest, but Pakistan Army’s disciplined strategy and effective execution under coaches Muhammad Salman Jutt, Faisal Qadeer, and Muhammad Naseer proved decisive.In the third-place match, WAPDA outperformed HEC with a 39-21 victory to claim a podium finish.
Federal Minister for Inter-Provincial Coordination Rana Sanaullah attended the closing ceremony and distributed prizes among the winners. He was accompanied by Secretary Army Fitness and Sports Directorate Col. Nabeel Ahmed Rana and other officials, and commended the players for their outstanding performances.
