Pakistan, Russia Reaffirm Commitment to Deepen Strategic Partnership at High-Level Meeting

MANILA: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar held a high-level meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov on Sunday on the sidelines of the 33rd ASEAN Regional Forum (ARF) Ministerial Meeting, reaffirming both countries’ commitment to strengthening bilateral ties.The two foreign ministers reviewed the current state of Pakistan-Russia relations and expressed satisfaction over the growing momentum in bilateral cooperation. They agreed to further expand collaboration in key sectors, including trade, energy, connectivity, and other areas of mutual interest.

Both leaders also emphasized the importance of closer coordination at multilateral forums and underscored the need for sustained high-level engagement to advance the Pakistan-Russia partnership.During the meeting, Dar and Lavrov exchanged views on major regional and global developments and agreed to remain in close contact on issues of shared interest.The meeting reflects the continued commitment of Pakistan and Russia to broaden cooperation across economic, diplomatic, and strategic domains while enhancing engagement through regional and international platforms.
