Islamabad: The Islamabad Chamber of Small Traders and Small Industries (ICSTSI) hosted a prestigious ceremony at Jahangir Akhtar Hall to mark the National Day of the Republic of the Philippines, bringing together key figures from the business community and diplomatic circles.
The event’s chief guest, Ambassador Emmanuel R. Fernandez, representing the Philippines in Pakistan, was warmly received by ICSTSI leadership. The ceremony provided a valuable platform for dialogue on strengthening bilateral relations, with a particular focus on trade, investment, entrepreneurship, and business-to-business collaboration.In his address, ICSTSI President Muhammad Awais Satti welcomed the ambassador and reaffirmed the Chamber’s commitment to expanding international business linkages.
He emphasized the importance of building stronger connections between Pakistani and Filipino enterprises to unlock new economic opportunities.Ambassador Fernandez appreciated the hospitality extended by the Chamber and expressed optimism about future cooperation. He highlighted the potential for closer engagement between the two countries’ business communities.
The ceremony was attended by prominent members of the Chamber, including Senior Vice President Sheikh Tayyab Saeed, Vice President Sardar Zaheer Ahmed, Executive Members Altaf Gohar and Hassan Gulzari, former President Malik Nadeem, Rashid Humayun, former Vice President Aqeel Abbasi, Council Member Sajid Iqbal, and other distinguished participants.Both sides reiterated their commitment to enhancing economic and commercial ties, expressing confidence that such initiatives will pave the way for increased trade, investment, and long-term cooperation between Pakistan and the Philippines.
