ISLAMABAD, Aug 15 (IN): Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Saturday expressed deep sorrow over the loss of lives and widespread destruction caused by the devastating earthquake in Indonesia.
In a message posted on X, the prime minister conveyed heartfelt condolences, on behalf of the people and Government of Pakistan, to Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto, the people of Indonesia and the families of those who lost their lives.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said Pakistan’s thoughts and prayers were with all those affected by the tragedy and prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured.He reaffirmed Pakistan’s solidarity with the brotherly people of Indonesia, saying that Pakistan stood “shoulder to shoulder” with them during the difficult time and wished strength, courage and resilience to all those affected.
