Putin’s China Visit to Accelerate Major Russia-China Joint Projects: Manturov

Strategic agreements and high-level talks expected to boost cooperation in trade, energy, technology, and infrastructure sectors worth over $200 billion

MOSCOW (IN): Russian President Vladimir Putin’s recent visit to China and the agreements signed during the high-level meetings are expected to significantly strengthen and accelerate joint Russian-Chinese projects, according to Russia’s First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov.

Speaking to TASS, Manturov said the productive and comprehensive dialogue between the two sides would provide strong momentum for expanding bilateral cooperation across multiple strategic sectors.“The visit of the Russian President, the signed agreements, and the deep, substantive discussions held during these days will undoubtedly give a powerful impetus to the implementation of joint initiatives,” Manturov stated.He noted that the Russian-Chinese Intergovernmental Commission on Investment Cooperation currently oversees 89 major projects valued at more than $200 billion.

These projects span key sectors including metallurgy, chemical industry, mechanical engineering, forestry, agriculture, transport and logistics, as well as trade.Manturov further highlighted the growing partnership between Moscow and Beijing in advanced fields such as nuclear energy and space exploration, describing the cooperation as successful and steadily expanding.
