Islamabad (IN) : Russian and Pakistani experts have explored new avenues for cooperation in cybersecurity and information sovereignty, with both sides highlighting the potential for stronger academic, research and professional exchanges.
The discussions took place during a hybrid Russian-Pakistani roundtable jointly organized by the Russian International Affairs Council (RIAC), the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) and the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO).The meeting brought together RIAC Deputy Director General Dr. Dmitry Kiku, NUST Jinnah School of Public Policy and Leadership Principal Dr. Hassan Jalil Shah, Cultural Attaché of the Russian Embassy in Islamabad Gleb Shubin, Positive Technologies International Business Development Manager Egor Rykov, along with leading experts from MGIMO and NUST.
During the detailed exchange, participants discussed the cybersecurity priorities of Russia and Pakistan and identified significant opportunities for closer bilateral collaboration in the field.The experts also stressed the need to expand academic and professional engagement between the two countries, particularly through joint research projects and continued expert-level dialogue on emerging cybersecurity challenges.
