ISLAMABAD: Rwanda’s High Commissioner to Pakistan, H.E. Harerimana Fatou, paid a courtesy call on H.E. Ambassador Dr. Muhammad Nafees Zakaria, Executive Director of COMSATS, to discuss expanding bilateral cooperation in science, technology, artificial intelligence (AI), innovation and capacity building.
During the meeting, both sides exchanged views on strengthening collaboration in cutting-edge fields, with particular focus on COMSATS’ pioneering initiatives in telemedicine, nanotechnology, software development and other emerging technologies. They also explored new avenues for advancing South-South cooperation through joint research, knowledge sharing and technological innovation.
High Commissioner Harerimana Fatou reaffirmed Rwanda’s strong commitment to innovation and underscored the transformative role of information technology and artificial intelligence in achieving the country’s national development goals under Rwanda Vision.The meeting reflected the shared resolve of Rwanda and COMSATS to deepen partnerships in science and technology for sustainable development and mutual progress.
