Islamabad: The Saima Afraheem Welfare Foundation, during an extraordinary meeting, approved the expansion of its cabinet to broaden the scope of its social welfare programs.Chairperson Saima Afraheem announced key appointments, naming Tahir Abbas, Chairman of Al-Hadi Dastarkhwan and Welfare Forum, as Executive Director; Syeda Sameera Raza as Director Operations; and Major (Retd.) Nasir Ali as Deputy Director Public Relations.Foundation spokesperson Muhammad Afraheem Bhatti stated that since August 2023, the organization has been actively providing educational and healthcare support to underprivileged, orphaned, and vulnerable children.
Currently, around 150 students from deserving families are benefiting from its welfare initiatives.Speaking on the occasion, Executive Director Tahir Abbas emphasized that federal and provincial governments, in collaboration with the private sector, can bring approximately 27.5 million out-of-school children into the formal education system. He added that the foundation has already offered its support in this regard and remains committed to contributing towards expanding access to education.
