ISLAMABAD, Aug 24 (IN): A delegation of the South Asia Olympic Council (SAOC) on Monday visited the Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF) Tennis Complex in Islamabad to assess its facilities and infrastructure ahead of the proposed hosting of tennis events during the South Asian Games (SAGs) 2027.The delegation was received by PTF Secretary General Col. (R) Zia-ud-Din Tufail and other federation officials.
During the visit, the PTF Secretary General briefed the SAOC delegation on the existing infrastructure, player facilities and ongoing development projects at the complex. He also highlighted the PTF’s experience in successfully hosting international events, including ATP and World Tennis tournaments, as well as regional and national competitions.
The delegates inspected the tennis courts, player facilities, seating areas and other key venues that could be utilized for the tennis events of the SAGs 2027.The visit enabled the SAOC delegation to assess the available facilities and infrastructure and review the complex’s suitability for hosting tennis competitions during the regional multi-sport event.
