The Royal Thai Embassy Islamabad, in collaboration with Maroof International Hospital (MIH), organized a Health Awareness and Wellness Camp at Hamara Ghar Welfare Trust in Shah Allah Ditta, bringing essential healthcare services and awareness to girls and young women from across the community.The initiative was held in connection with the birth anniversary of Her Majesty the late Queen Sirikit of Thailand and Thailand’s National Mother’s Day, observed on August 12.
The occasion provided a meaningful opportunity to promote the values of care, compassion and wellbeing, particularly for girls and women.Organized under MIH’s Community Support Program and the Royal Thai Embassy’s voluntary community service initiatives, the camp focused on the health needs of girls ranging from as young as three years old to university level.Around 120 girls received free specialist consultations, professional health guidance and medicines. A range of services was offered, including internal medicine, ophthalmology, dental care, nutrition, mental health support and early intervention therapy.Specialized assistance was also provided to children facing speech delays and developmental challenges, offering families access to professional guidance and early support.
