Tree Plantation Campaign Launched in Collaboration with NCHD and District Administration

Mardan: A tree plantation campaign has been formally launched in Mardan through a joint initiative of the National Commission for Human Development (NCHD) Mardan and the District Administration Mardan. The campaign was inaugurated at the NCHD Mardan Secretariat Office by the chief guest, Assistant Commissioner Mardan Dr. Sher Zaman Dogar, who planted a sapling to mark the beginning of the campaign.

The ceremony was attended by NCHD Mardan Deputy Director Lal Muhammad Toru, AD Dr. Muhammad Ali, AD Muhammad Ayaz, Abid Ali Hoti, DMO RTS Kazim Khan, Field Officer Naveed Ahmed, along with other field officers, volunteers and interns.On the occasion, the participants highlighted the importance of tree plantation and expressed their commitment to planting more trees to make the environment greener, reduce pollution and help address the impacts of climate change.

During the campaign, 4,000 saplings were distributed among the participants, which will be planted at different locations.According to the organizers, the objective of the tree plantation campaign is to mobilize the public, youth, volunteers and various segments of society for environmental protection and to create greater awareness about the importance of trees and their role in maintaining a healthy and sustainable environment.
