CHOLPON-ATA, Kyrgyzstan, July 31 — President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov announced that the next Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asian countries and Azerbaijan will be held on October 8, 2026, in the Avaza National Tourist Zone of Turkmenistan.Speaking at the Informal Meeting of the Heads of State of Azerbaijan and the Central Asian countries in Cholpon-Ata, President Berdimuhamedov confirmed that Turkmenistan would host the upcoming summit, which aims to further strengthen regional cooperation and partnership.
The Turkmen leader also congratulated Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on Azerbaijan’s accession as a full-fledged participant in the Consultative Meeting format.“I am convinced that the new six-party mechanism of interstate cooperation will contribute to an even greater rapprochement of our peoples and countries, strengthen our brotherly ties, and provide additional momentum and new opportunities for cooperation by harnessing our growing collective potential,” Berdimuhamedov said.
The announcement came at the conclusion of the leaders’ meeting in Kyrgyzstan, where the heads of state discussed expanding regional cooperation in areas including trade, transport, connectivity, investment, and sustainable development.
