MARDAN: President of Human Rights Protection and Social Justice, Tehsil Mardan, Muhammad Qasim Shah, has expressed serious concern over the absence of safety arrangements on Rustam Road in Surkawi and urged the relevant authorities to take immediate action.In a press statement, he said that traffic accidents are occurring frequently on the road due to inadequate safety measures, posing serious risks to the lives and property of local residents. He added that the lack of a protective wall or boundary wall along the roadside has become a major cause of accidents, leaving the local population in a constant state of fear and concern.
Muhammad Qasim Shah appealed to the concerned departments and district administration to immediately construct a safety wall along the road and implement other necessary protective measures to ensure public safety. He warned that if timely action is not taken, a major tragedy could occur, for which the relevant authorities would be held responsible.He further emphasized that the protection of human lives should be the top priority and that prompt and effective measures are essential to address public safety concerns and prevent future accidents.
