ISLAMABAD, June 25, 2026: Patron-in-Chief of Pakistan Sweet Home and former Member of the National Assembly, Zamurrad Khan (Hilal-e-Imtiaz), paid tribute to Imam Hussain (AS) and the martyrs of Karbala in his message on Youm-e-Ashura, saying the day serves as a reminder of the unparalleled sacrifice made by the grandson of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) in the cause of truth and justice.He said Imam Hussain (AS) and his companions attained immortality by laying down their lives for righteousness and principles, adding that the message of Imam Hussain (AS) remains alive today and will continue to inspire generations to come.
Zamurrad Khan said the bond of love and devotion with Imam Hussain (AS) and the martyrs of Karbala is eternal, noting that Muslims across the world commemorate Ashura with deep reverence and reflect on the pain and sacrifices of Karbala.He described Karbala as a symbol of standing firm for truth and raising one’s voice against oppression.
He said the sacrifices of the martyrs of Karbala were aimed at upholding justice and righteousness, and history bears witness that Imam Hussain’s (AS) sacrifice not only defeated falsehood but also ensured the enduring strength and glory of Islam.He added that by standing fearlessly against tyranny and injustice, Imam Hussain (AS) became an everlasting symbol of courage, steadfastness and resistance against oppression.
