ISLAMABAD, June 25, 2026: Senior Pakistan Peoples Party leader Khursheed Ahmed Shah, in his message on the occasion of Ashura, said that Imam Hussain (RA) taught humanity an eternal lesson by refusing to compromise on principles and standing firm for truth and justice.He said that the message of Karbala is one of truth, righteousness and unwavering commitment to noble values, adding that no sacrifice should be considered too great in upholding these ideals.Khursheed Shah said that the enduring lesson of Karbala for all Muslims is that true salvation and security lie in following the commands of Allah and the teachings of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
He noted that the enemies of Islam and the family of the Prophet (PBUH) have faded into history, while the name and legacy of the Prophet (PBUH) and his family continue to shine across the world. He emphasized that the bond of love and devotion between Muslims and Imam Hussain (RA) is everlasting and will remain strong for generations to come.The PPP leader said that respect for Muharram reflects the deep love and reverence for the family of the Holy Prophet (PBUH), and today Muslims across the globe remain at the forefront in expressing their devotion to Imam Hussain (RA).He further stated that the supreme sacrifice made for the cause of truth immortalized the martyrs of Karbala, adding that the voices of Imam Hussain’s devoted followers continue to resonate around the world, serving as the greatest testament to the acceptance and enduring impact of their sacrifice.
