ISLAMABAD, Jun 27 (IN):The Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF) held a special ceremony at the PTF Complex to honour two of Pakistan’s most distinguished tennis personalities, Haroon Rahim and Muhammad Khaliq, in recognition of their outstanding contributions and lifelong services to the game of tennis in Pakistan.During the ceremony, Court No. 3 was officially named Haroon Rahim Court, while Court No. 4 was dedicated as Muhammad Khaliq Court. The initiative reflects the Federation’s appreciation for their invaluable contributions to Pakistani tennis and their continued inspiration for future generations, said a press release.
The ceremony was attended by representatives of PTF-affiliated units, former and current players, officials, and tennis enthusiasts, who gathered to celebrate the achievements of these two tennis legends.Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi, President-PTF, said that it was a proud moment for the Pakistan Tennis Federation to honour two icons of Pakistan tennis who had dedicated their lives to the sport and brought great laurels to the country. He added that naming the courts after them would ensure that future generations continue to recognize and appreciate their remarkable services to tennis.Col. (R) Zia-ud-Din Tufail, Secretary General-PTF, along with the PTF management, expressed his pleasure in recognizing the lifelong contributions of both legends. He stated that the Federation remains committed to honouring individuals who have played a pivotal role in the growth and success of tennis in Pakistan.
