PTF Launches “Rising Tennis Stars Initiative” to Promote Tennis Among Young Players

Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF) President Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi has launched the PTF Rising Tennis Stars Initiative, a new program aimed at promoting tennis among children in the 10 & Under age category and developing young talent at the grassroots level.As part of this initiative, the PTF president, accompanied by Maj. Suleman Junaid (Senior Vice President – PTF), Hamid Niaz (National JTI Coordinator), and Masood Abbasi (Regional JTI Coordinator), visited Roots International Schools in Islamabad.

During the visit, the delegation held productive meetings with school management to discuss ways to collaborate in promoting tennis among students.

According to a press release, both sides explored different strategies to introduce and strengthen tennis programs within schools.The discussions also included plans to organize tennis training camps during April and May to help young players learn the fundamentals of the sport. In addition, Tennis Festivals will be arranged during the summer vacations, giving children a fun and engaging opportunity to experience and enjoy tennis.

The PTF delegation received a warm welcome from the school management and students. The young participants were especially excited to meet Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi, widely regarded as the pride of Pakistan, whose presence inspired many aspiring tennis players to pursue the sport.
