ISLAMABAD, September 21: Portugal and Pakistan have discussed opportunities to enhance bilateral cooperation in the fields of agriculture, food security, irrigation, water management and technical collaboration.Portuguese Ambassador to Pakistan Paulo Domingues held a meeting with Federal Minister for National Food Security and Research Rana Tanveer Hussain at the Ministry, where both sides exchanged views on strengthening cooperation between the two countries.
During the meeting, the two sides explored possibilities for greater collaboration among public institutions, research organizations and the private sector to develop practical initiatives and promote the exchange of expertise, technology and best practices.The discussions also focused on expanding economic and technical ties between Portugal and Pakistan, particularly in areas related to sustainable agriculture and effective resource management.Portugal expressed its readiness to further explore areas of mutual interest and contribute towards building stronger and closer relations with Pakistan.
