Erdogan Says Netanyahu’s Actions Threaten Regional and Global Peace

Recep Tayyip Erdogan has accused Benjamin Netanyahu of continuing policies that threaten both regional and global peace.Speaking in Istanbul, Erdogan said recent Iran-linked attacks on Feb. 28 were triggered by Netanyahu’s “provocations,” further worsening instability in the region.He also criticized Israel’s ongoing military actions in Gaza, alleging that humanitarian aid is being blocked, civilians are being killed, and infrastructure is being destroyed. Erdogan claimed that access to Al-Aqsa Mosque has been restricted, calling it a significant escalation.The Turkish president further alleged that Israeli operations in Lebanon since early March have resulted in around 1,000 deaths and displaced over a million people. He also accused Israel of accelerating settlement expansion in the West Bank and other occupied Palestinian territories.

Erdogan said Türkiye is using all available means to promote peace, urging dialogue and diplomacy to resolve ongoing conflicts. He expressed solidarity with people in conflict zones, especially those in Gaza, during the Eid holiday.Highlighting broader regional tensions, Erdogan also welcomed a temporary ceasefire between Pakistan and Afghanistan during Eid, expressing hope that the pause would lead to lasting peace.
