ISLAMABAD: Prof. Dr. Ayesha Humayun, Chairperson and Dean of Shaikh Zayed Postgraduate Medical Institute (SZPGMI), has been featured in the 2026 Stanford University/Elsevier Top 2% Scientists List, marking her fifth consecutive year among the world’s leading researchers.According to the Ministry of National Health Services, Regulations and Coordination, Prof. Dr. Humayun has maintained this distinction from 2022 to 2026 in the fields of Clinical Medicine and General and Internal Medicine.
The ministry congratulated Prof. Dr. Humayun on the achievement, describing her recognition as a matter of national pride for Pakistan.Her continued academic leadership and research contributions have played an important role in advancing medical research, health professions education and clinical excellence in the country.The recognition highlights Pakistan’s contribution to global medical research and underscores the role of women in advancing science and healthcare.
