Uzbekistan, Pakistan Strengthen Vocational Education Ties with New Agreements

Islamabad: Uzbekistan and Pakistan have entered a new phase of cooperation in the education sector, focusing on strengthening collaboration in vocational and technical training to create greater opportunities for youth.

The development came during a high-level meeting with the leadership of Pakistan’s National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC), where both sides reached concrete agreements to deepen partnership in skills development and professional education.Under the agreed framework, the two countries will launch joint educational programs, expand online learning platforms, promote exchange of expertise, and enhance the capacity of teachers through specialized training initiatives.

The cooperation also includes participation in international grants and projects, along with establishing direct institutional linkages between educational bodies of both nations.Officials described the initiative as a significant investment in the future, emphasizing its potential to transform the lives of thousands of young people. With over 64 percent of Pakistan’s population comprising youth and a large number already enrolled in vocational training, the partnership is expected to contribute to building a skilled workforce across the region.
