Food Packages Distributed to Hundreds of Christian Families on Easter in Mardan

Mardan: On the joyous occasion of Easter, a dignified and well-organized ceremony was held at Saint Paul Church Mardan under the auspices of Sameem Orphan Care Pakistan Mardan. During the event, food packages were distributed among hundreds of deserving families belonging to the Christian community.

The purpose of this welfare initiative was to share the of Easter with the Christian community and express solidarity with them.The chief guest of the ceremony was Additional Deputy Commissioner Relief & Human Rights Mardan, Iqbal Hussain Khattak. Other distinguished guests included Principal Army Public School Mardan, Lieutenant Colonel Abdul Basit, ASP City Bakht Bedaaar, President Sarafa Association Mardan Ghulam Sarwar, Minority Member of Provincial Assembly Samuel Robert, Advocate High Court Riaz Khan, and trader leader Usman Khan.

In their speeches, the speakers appreciated the efforts of Sameem Orphan Care Foundation and stated that such welfare initiatives play a vital role in promoting social harmony, brotherhood, and interfaith tolerance. They emphasized that helping the underprivileged and showing solidarity with minorities is a hallmark of a civilized society.On this occasion, Chairman of the Foundation Dr. Abu Zar Shah and Vice Chairman Salman Shah Bukhari highlighted the organization’s performance, stating that the foundation has been actively working for the welfare of underprivileged and needy segments of society.

They shared that during the holy month of Ramadan, thousands of ration packages were distributed among deserving families, communal Iftar arrangements were organized throughout the month, and Eid packages were distributed among hundreds of special individuals.They further added that, along with emergency relief efforts, the foundation is also working on various projects related to education, healthcare, and social welfare to help empower the weaker sections of society.

At the end of the ceremony, representatives of the Christian community expressed their gratitude to the foundation and other participants, hoping that such welfare activities would continue in the future. Participants stressed that such initiatives not only provide immediate relief to those in need but also promote love, respect, and unity among different religions.
