Central Asian Envoys, HEC Chairman Discuss Expanding Academic Cooperation

Islamabad: Ambassadors of the Central Asian States visited the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan and held extensive discussions with Chairman Dr. Niaz Ahmad Akhtar on enhancing academic collaboration and promoting cultural exchange between Pakistan’s higher education sector and the higher education institutions (HEIs) of Central Asian countries.

During the meeting, both sides agreed to strengthen educational ties through the exchange of academic delegations aimed at facilitating student admissions and expanding cooperation among universities. Special attention was also given to resolving issues being faced by medical students on a priority basis.

The participants emphasized the importance of deepening regional educational connectivity and fostering people-to-people engagement through academic partnerships and student exchange programs.It was further decided that the HEC will share a comprehensive roadmap with the ambassadors within the next 10 days to ensure the timely finalization and implementation of the proposed initiatives.
