MARDAN: Ubaidullah, Central Vice Chairman of the Pakistan Allied Health Professionals Association (Registered) and newly elected President of District Headquarters Hospital Mardan, along with newly elected General Secretary Muhammad Amin, met Provincial Health Minister Khaliq-ur-Rehman at his office yesterday. The meeting was held in a cordial atmosphere, during which various issues related to the Health Department, challenges faced by paramedics, and ongoing reform initiatives in the healthcare sector were discussed in detail. On the occasion, Ubaidullah and Muhammad Amin thanked the Provincial Health Minister for ensuring the promotion process of thousands of paramedics in the Health Department. They stated that this initiative had boosted the morale of employees and encouraged paramedical staff serving in the healthcare sector.
They also appreciated Minister Khaliq-ur-Rehman’s efforts toward healthcare reforms, improvement of medical facilities, and the welfare of employees. The delegation reaffirmed its commitment that the Pakistan Allied Health Professionals Association and paramedical staff would continue to extend full cooperation in implementing the government’s public health reform agenda and ensuring the provision of better healthcare services to the public.
The meeting also included discussions on various issues faced by paramedics, including service structure, promotions, professional training, and other administrative matters. Provincial Health Minister Khaliq-ur-Rehman congratulated the newly elected office-bearers and said that the government was taking serious measures to improve the healthcare sector and address the problems faced by healthcare workers. He assured the delegation that the legitimate concerns of paramedics would be addressed on a priority basis and that constructive suggestions from all stakeholders would be welcomed to improve the performance of the Health Department. The Health Minister stated that paramedics are the backbone of the healthcare system and play a vital role in providing quality healthcare services to the public. He expressed hope that paramedical organizations and the Health Department would continue to work together and play a collective role in bringing further improvements to the healthcare sector through mutual cooperation.
