Mauritius High Commissioner Visits University of Sargodha, Explores Education Cooperation

SARGODHA: High Commissioner of Mauritius to Pakistan Mr. Munsoo Kurrimbaccus visited the University of Sargodha and held a meeting with Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Qaisar Abbas to explore new avenues of cooperation in education, research and academic exchange between Mauritius and the university.Welcoming the High Commissioner, Prof. Dr. Qaisar Abbas briefed him on the University of Sargodha’s academic programmes, research facilities and initiatives aimed at promoting international collaboration.

He emphasized the university’s commitment to expanding academic partnerships with institutions and stakeholders at the international level.During the meeting, Mr. Munsoo Kurrimbaccus and the Vice Chancellor discussed areas of mutual interest, including student and faculty exchange programmes, joint research initiatives, academic collaboration and other educational opportunities.The High Commissioner also visited various academic and research facilities of the University of Sargodha and took an interest in the university’s academic infrastructure and research activities.

The visiting delegation appreciated the facilities and expressed interest in exploring further opportunities to strengthen educational ties between Mauritius and the University of Sargodha.The delegation accompanying the High Commissioner included Ms. Afia, Mr. Yaeish, Mr. Asim Shareef, CEO of Lead & Grow, and Mr. Sahil Shareef. Senior officials of the University of Sargodha also accompanied the delegation during the visit.

At the conclusion of his visit, High Commissioner Munsoo Kurrimbaccus recorded his remarks in the University’s Visitors’ Book, expressing appreciation for the visit and the warm hospitality extended by the University of Sargodha.The visit was seen as an important step towards developing stronger academic and research linkages and creating new opportunities for educational cooperation between Mauritius and Pakistan.
