Muhammad Zeeshan Ahmed, Ambassador of Pakistan, called on Nizar Amidi today, where he conveyed warm greetings and best wishes from Pakistan’s leadership on His Excellency’s assumption of office as President of Iraq.During the meeting, the Ambassador highlighted the positive trajectory of Pakistan–Iraq relations, noting ongoing cooperation in key areas such as high-level exchanges, trade, investment, and people-to-people contacts.
He also briefed the President on the Embassy’s efforts to further strengthen bilateral engagement, particularly in economic, institutional, and cultural spheres, while emphasizing the importance of exploring new avenues for mutually beneficial collaboration.
President Amidi appreciated these efforts and reaffirmed Iraq’s commitment to deepening ties with Pakistan. Both sides underscored the significance of sustained high-level engagement and agreed to remain in close coordination to further consolidate bilateral relations and unlock new opportunities for cooperation.
