Pakistan Sweet Home Launches Free Burial, Food Services for Underprivileged in Rawalpindi

Rawalpindi (IN) An inauguration ceremony for Syeda Fatimah-tuz-Zahra Free Burial Service and Free Community Kitchen, (Dastarkhwan), was held at Municipal Corporation Rawalpindi under the auspices of Pakistan Sweet Home. The office of the Syeda Fatimah-tuz-Zahra Free Burial Service and Dastarkhwan was formally inaugurated by Mohtarma Tahira Aurangzeb MNA and Commissioner Rawalpindi, Engr Amir Khattak who attended the event as the chief guests.

Addressing the ceremony, the Commissioner stated that Pakistan Sweet Home has consistently remained at the forefront of humanitarian service and that he, along with his administration, will continue to provide every possible support and cooperation in its welfare initiatives. He said that the day marked an important milestone as the free burial and community kitchen services were being launched, and prayed that Allah Almighty would grant everyone the ability to implement more projects dedicated to human welfare and social well-being.

He further expressed his desire that free medical testing facilities should also be provided in the building by Pakistan Sweet Home.Speaking as the Guest of Honour, Ms. Tahira Aurangzeb, MNA, said that she has stood alongside Zamurrad Khan and Pakistan Sweet Home since its inception and will continue to support them in the future as well. She described the provision of free burial services and a free community kitchen for the people of Rawalpindi as a matter of pride and a highly commendable initiative, adding that everyone should actively participate in this noble cause.She further remarked that the Commissioner of Rawalpindi has been leading from the front in welfare activities and that, after a long time, Rawalpindi has been fortunate to have a compassionate and humanitarian commissioner who actively promotes public welfare projects. She added that Allah Almighty would richly reward him for his good deeds.Ms Tahira Aurangzeb also noted that welfare initiatives for Rawalpindi are consistent and that Pakistan Sweet Home has played a prominent role in these efforts.

She also said that people of Rawalpindi will be blessed with more welfare projects to cater to the needs of lower middle class and needy persons. Addressing the gathering, Zamurrad Khan stated that more than 500 individuals have already been laid to rest through the Free Burial Service, describing it as a vital source of support for those who are vulnerable and without assistance. He further said that the Sweet Home Free Dastarkhwan already operating at the District Headquarters Hospital, established through the support and cooperation of Mohtarma Tahira Aurangzeb, and that serves meals to approximately 700 to 800 people daily.He announced that a Free Dastarkhwan would now also be established at this location, where every visitor would be provided with high-quality meals in a respectful and dignified manner.
