RAWALPINDI: In a significant step toward women’s economic empowerment, the Rawal Foundation, under the leadership of its Chairman Khaqan Waheed Khawaja, is providing free vocational training in stitching and baking to women at its Vocational Training Centre in Dhoke Ratta, Rawalpindi.Chairman Khaqan Waheed Khawaja said his vision is to ensure that no mother, sister, or daughter in society has to depend on others for financial support. He emphasized that women should be able to earn a respectable livelihood through their skills and live with dignity and independence.
The training centre aims to equip women with practical skills that enable them to start their own businesses, contribute to their household income, and become financially self-reliant.In a video released by the Foundation, the wife of a rickshaw driver shared her gratitude, saying the free training opportunity had given her hope and the confidence to build a better future for her family. She thanked Chairman Khaqan Waheed Khawaja and the Rawal Foundation for supporting women through skill development.
The centre’s in-charge, Anam Khalid, also highlighted the objectives of the initiative, the training programs being offered, and the success stories of women who have benefited from the project.The Rawal Foundation reaffirmed its commitment to promoting women’s empowerment by providing marketable skills, creating opportunities for dignified employment, and helping women achieve long-term financial independence.
