ISLAMABAD, April 25 — The Royal Thai Embassy in Islamabad hosted a vibrant cultural celebration titled “Songkran: A Happy Family Day” to mark the Thai New Year, bringing together the Thai community and international guests in a festive atmosphere of tradition, unity, and joy.

Held at the embassy premises, the event drew around 320 participants, including Thai nationals residing in Islamabad and nearby cities, as well as members of the diplomatic corps. The gathering reflected a strong sense of community while showcasing Thailand’s rich cultural heritage.The celebration featured traditional Songkran ceremonies aimed at preserving and promoting time-honored customs associated with the Thai New Year. Attendees also enjoyed a variety of games and activities that captured the spirit of the festival, creating a lively and engaging environment for families and guests alike.A highlight of the event was the diverse display of authentic Thai cuisine, prepared through the collective efforts of the Thai community.
