KARACHI : Ummah Welfare Trust Pakistan distributed 30 auto-rickshaws and 35 motorcycles free of cost among 65 deserving and unemployed individuals under the first phase of its Income Generation Program 2026.A dignified distribution ceremony was held at the Trust’s zonal office in Clifton, Karachi, where beneficiaries were formally handed over vehicle keys to help them begin sustainable and dignified livelihoods.
The ceremony was attended by Senior Trustee of Ummah Welfare Trust UK Maulana Muhammad, Chairman Ummah Welfare Trust Pakistan Maulana Muhammad Idrees, Vice Chairman Haji Abdul Razzaq Beli, Shahnawaz Khan, Haji Bilal Bugti, Haji Habibullah Niazi, Dr. Hamza Beli, Afaq Khan, Mufti Muhammad Madni, renowned Islamic scholar Maulana Manzoor Mengal, Advisor to Chief Minister Sindh Syed Najmi Alam, Member of Sindh Assembly Yousuf Baloch, social leader Arshad Bukhari, and other distinguished personalities.
Speakers emphasized that the initiative reflects the organization’s continued commitment to promoting economic self-reliance and reducing unemployment through sustainable livelihood programs. They noted that Ummah Welfare Trust has so far distributed 469 rickshaws and motorcycles, 150 shops, and 5,975 sewing machines, enabling long-term income generation opportunities for thousands of families.
They further stated that such interventions aim to transition beneficiaries from dependency-based assistance to sustainable income generation, enabling them to support their families with dignity.According to Dr. Hamza Beli, under the Income Generation Program 2026, the Trust plans to distribute up to 200 rickshaws and motorcycles across Karachi during the current year on a fully free-of-cost basis to deserving individuals.
