Islamabad (IN) Senior Vice Chairman Pakistan Assembly of Muslim Youth, former member of District Council Raja Hameed Ahmed Saleem has said that on August 5, 2019, India illegally revoked the special status of Jammu and Kashmir. On this day, Kashmiris and Pakistanis around the world will observe Black Day on Wednesday and send a message that Pakistan and Kashmir are one body, two souls.
Addressing a Kashmir seminar in the US, he said that the Modi government, trampling the law on the sale and purchase of property and flouting the UN resolutions, imposed a complete military siege on the occupied valley, which was actually a direct attack on the right of Kashmiris to self-determination. The entire valley was turned into an open prison by getting the bill to revoke the special status of Kashmir passed by the Indian upper house, Rajya Sabha, and today, even after years of this usurpation, India has not been able to succeed in its nefarious objectives.
