ISLAMABAD, Mar 13: Prime Minister has nominated Member of the National Assembly (MNA) Isphanyar Bhandara as a member of the Parliamentary Committee responsible for the appointment of the Chairperson of the National Commission for Minorities Rights.According to a notification issued on Friday, Bhandara represents some of Pakistan’s smallest minority communities in parliament, many of whom reside in remote areas of the country. His inclusion in the committee is therefore considered particularly significant.
The notification highlighted that the nomination reflects the principle that every community, regardless of its size or distance from the center, deserves representation in decisions related to minority rights and representation.The move also underscores the Prime Minister’s commitment to inclusive governance and ensuring that all communities have a voice in Pakistan’s democratic process.
