Azerbaijan Promotes Tourism Potential in Pakistan Through Nationwide Roadshows

ISLAMABAD: The Azerbaijan Tourism Board (ATB), in collaboration with Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) and three local tourism industry partners, organized a series of tourism promotion events in Pakistan to strengthen tourism cooperation between the two countries.The roadshows were held in Lahore on September 15, Karachi on September 17 and Islamabad on September 19, attracting more than 360 representatives from Pakistan’s tourism sector, including partners such as Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) and Airblue.

The events highlighted Azerbaijan’s rich historical and cultural heritage, winter tourism and ski resorts, health tourism and ecotourism opportunities.A special presentation was also held on Shusha, which has been designated as the Tourism Capital of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) for 2026.The programme also featured B2B meetings between Azerbaijani and Pakistani tourism industry representatives, providing opportunities to explore new partnerships, strengthen business ties and develop cooperation between the two markets.The initiative reflects growing efforts to expand tourism exchanges and people-to-people connectivity between Azerbaijan and Pakistan.
