ABU DHABI, Sept 21: Kazakhstan has showcased its rich literary heritage and contemporary literature at the 35th Abu Dhabi International Book Fair, one of the world’s leading cultural and literary events.Held under the theme “Turn the Page, Read the World,” the book fair has brought together around 1,200 participants from 95 countries.The Kazakh pavilion features works by prominent Kazakh authors, contemporary literature, children’s books, publications highlighting the country’s cultural heritage, and projects by Kazakh publishing houses.
During the event, the Kazakh delegation also held meetings with international publishers, literary agencies and cultural organizations. Discussions focused on translating Kazakh literature into foreign languages, promoting copyright and publishers’ rights, and developing joint literary and cultural projects.Kazakhstan’s participation was organized by the Nomad Culture Fund with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Information of Kazakhstan and the Embassy of Kazakhstan in the United Arab Emirates.
The country’s participation reflects Kazakhstan’s efforts to promote its national literature and cultural heritage internationally and strengthen cooperation with the global publishing and literary community.
