Pakistan U-20 Football Team Departs for Maldives to Play SAFF Championship

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Men’s Under-20 football team has departed for the Maldives to participate in the SAFF U-20 Championship.

Head coach Shehzad Anwar expressed confidence in his team, saying the players have worked hard during the training camp and are fully prepared for the upcoming challenge.Before departure, Pakistan Football Federation President Syed Mohsen Gilani met the squad and extended his best wishes. He acknowledged the tough group but remained optimistic about achieving positive results if the team performs to its full potential.Pakistan have been placed in Group B alongside India and Bangladesh.

They will kick off their campaign against Bangladesh on March 24, followed by a match against India two days later. The top two teams from the group will advance to the semi-finals.The squad consists of 23 players across all positions, supported by a full coaching and management staff.
