MARDAN: Member of the Provincial Assembly Abdul Salam Afridi said that he and his party would never step back from their constitutional, democratic, and public rights, and that the struggle for the supremacy of truth and the Constitution would continue at every level. He stated that public service and the development of the region remain their top priorities; however, the federal government is adopting a discriminatory attitude towards Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, which is severely affecting the province’s development projects.
He expressed these views during a meeting with renowned Khudai Khidmatgar of Union Council Baghdada, Mardan, fazal shah. During the meeting, detailed discussions were held regarding the overall political situation of the area, development projects, public issues, and the current national circumstances.Abdul Salam Afridi said that carrying out development work is the responsibility of elected representatives and the basic right of the people. He added that he has always tried to secure maximum funds for the development of his constituency and region so that projects related to roads, education, healthcare, electricity, gas, and other basic facilities could be completed.
However, he alleged that the federal government has withheld the funds allocated for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, creating serious concern and unrest among the people of the province.He further said that the current political environment is marked by political victimization and disrespect for the public mandate, but despite these challenges, he would continue raising his voice for the protection of public rights.
According to him, true democracy, constitutional governance, and the rule of law are the most important needs of the time.MPA Abdul Salam Afridi also stated that the movement for the release of Imran Khan would continue until his release, and every democratic and constitutional avenue would be utilized for this purpose. He said that party workers and the public have always shown steadfastness during difficult times and would continue standing shoulder to shoulder with the party leadership in the future as well.On this occasion, appreciated the public services of Abdul Salam Afridi and said that his efforts for resolving public issues and carrying out development projects are commendable. He added that the people expect their representatives to raise their voices for public rights during every difficult time.
