Alkhidmat Karachi Empowers Women Through Fashion Designing Internship Program

Alkhidmat Karachi’s Women Wing successfully concluded a one-month internship program in Fashion Designing and Dress Making Level II in collaboration with the Sindh Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (STEVTA). A certificate distribution ceremony was held at the Alkhidmat Karachi head office to honor the students who successfully completed the internship program. The event was chaired by President Alkhidmat Women’s Wing Karachi, Munawwar Ikhlas. Director Alkhidmat Volunteer Program, Yousuf Mohiuddin also addressed the ceremony. General Manager Human Resources Department, Habib-ur-Rehman and other officials were also present on the occasion. Addressing the ceremony, Munawwar Ikhlas said that Alkhidmat is working to empower women and make them financially independent.

She stated that the internship program is part of these ongoing efforts. She added that after completing this internship, the participants would be better positioned to pursue economic self-reliance and determine their professional direction with confidence. She further said that compared to the past, women today have broader opportunities for growth and can showcase their abilities in fields of their interest by benefiting from the opportunities available to them. She congratulated all the students on successfully completing the internship program. Speaking at the event, Yousuf Mohiuddin said that through its popular Bano Qabil program, Alkhidmat has already helped a large number of female students shape their practical career paths. He appreciated Alkhidmat Karachi’s Women Wing for taking the lead in organizing such internship programs and said that Alkhidmat had long aspired to launch initiatives of this nature.

He added that Alkhidmat is also working on launching programs for homemakers under its Women Empowerment Program. He remarked that women are now excelling in every field and, in many areas, moving ahead through their talent and hard work. He emphasized the importance of honesty, dedication, and valuing time while entering the business and professional world, adding that success inevitably follows sincere effort. Yousuf Mohiuddin expressed hope that more women would participate in such programs and play an active role in supporting their families and contributing positively to society through their skills and abilities.
