Indonesian Consulate Honoured with Icon Award at UN International Friendship Day in Pakistan

Karachi: The Indonesian Consulate General in Karachi was honoured with the Icon Award during the celebration of UN International Friendship Day, organised by the Professional Youth Foundation of Pakistan (PYFP) in collaboration with the Center for Alternative Perspective (CAP) on July 31.

The event was attended by Mrs. Dian Ratri Astuti, Consul for Information, Social and Cultural Affairs, along with Indonesian interns. Addressing the gathering, Mrs. Astuti underscored the importance of international friendship, cultural understanding, youth empowerment, and stronger global partnerships to promote lasting cooperation and meaningful connections across borders.She noted that Indonesia’s national philosophy, “Bhinneka Tunggal Ika” (Unity in Diversity), remains a guiding principle for fostering harmony at home while strengthening friendships and collaboration within the global community.

In recognition of its continued efforts to deepen bilateral relations and promote people-to-people exchanges between the brotherly nations of Indonesia and Pakistan, the Indonesian Consulate General in Karachi was presented with the Icon Award.The event brought together diplomats, youth representatives, and members of civil society, highlighting the shared commitment to peace, mutual understanding, and international cooperation through cultural and educational engagement.
