Rawalpindi — Earlier this week, prominent Pakistani author and social figure Mr. Isphanyar Bhandara visited the Iranian Cultural Center in Rawalpindi, where he was presented with a copy of the book “Iran: The Cradle of Peaceful Religious Coexistence” by Dr. Mehdi Taheri, Director General of the Center and Cultural Attaché of the Iranian Embassy.The presentation followed Mr. Bhandara’s earlier gesture of gifting his book “Gems and Jewels: The Religions of Pakistan” to Dr. Taheri last year.
During the visit, Mr. Bhandara also presented another publication commissioned by him, “Rawulpindee: The Raj Years.”During their meeting, the two sides discussed Iran’s rich religious and cultural diversity, including its Zoroastrian, Armenian Christian, and Jewish communities, as well as the country’s centuries-old tradition of peaceful coexistence among different faiths.Mr. Bhandara expressed concern over the ongoing conflict involving Iran and conveyed his hope for peace, stability, and harmony in the region.Dr. Taheri thanked Pakistan for its support and appreciated the country’s efforts toward promoting dialogue and seeking a peaceful resolution to conflicts.The meeting highlighted the importance of cultural exchanges, mutual understanding, and the shared commitment of Pakistan and Iran to peace and cooperation.
