ISLAMABAD: A Climate Action & Awareness Walk was organized in Islamabad by Rakhshanda Memorial, with women and children participating enthusiastically to raise awareness about environmental protection and the urgent need for collective climate action. The activity aimed not only to promote environmental awareness but also to inspire the younger generation to understand its responsibility toward protecting nature and building a cleaner, greener and more sustainable future.Rakhshanda Memorial, a women-led organization, has been actively working for social welfare through a range of practical initiatives aimed at supporting vulnerable communities and promoting sustainable development.Among its key initiatives is a Rs100 meal project, designed to provide needy people with affordable, quality food while preserving their dignity.
The organization has also undertaken large-scale plantation drives, contributing to environmental improvement and the vision of a greener Pakistan.Through its “Khud Kafeel” (Self-Reliance) initiative, Rakhshanda Memorial focuses on empowering deserving individuals by creating employment opportunities and helping them become financially independent rather than relying solely on temporary assistance. These initiatives reflect the organization’s broader philosophy that meaningful social service is not merely about providing temporary support, but about offering people dignity, opportunities and the means to become self-reliant.
