Islamabad, 1 May 2026 — Ms. Wajiha Qamar, Minister of State for Federal Ministry of Education and Professional Training, along with Faraz Afzal Sheikh Advocate, President of the Rawalpindi-Islamabad Tax Bar Association, visited the Pakistan Sweet Home Rehabilitation Center at the invitation of Zamurrad Khan, Hilal-e-Imtiaz and Patron-in-Chief of Pakistan Sweet Home.
During their visit, the dignitaries met with patients undergoing treatment for drug addiction and encouraged them to rebuild their lives as productive members of society after recovery. Ms. Wajiha Qamar emphasized that individuals struggling with drug addiction should be treated as patients, enabling them to reintegrate into society as responsible and constructive citizens.Faraz Afzal Sheikh highlighted the devastating impact of drug addiction on families, homes, and businesses, noting that many affected individuals are left without support.
He praised Pakistan Sweet Home’s rehabilitation initiative as a remarkable humanitarian effort and a source of hope for those seeking a fresh start.Zamurrad Khan briefed the guests on the center’s rehabilitation process, stating that it is supervised by highly skilled and dedicated professionals, which has led to effective results in a relatively short time. He added that seeing individuals recover and become useful members of society again is a deeply rewarding experience for everyone involved.Expressing gratitude for the visit, Zamurrad Khan remarked that the presence of respected and compassionate figures like Ms. Qamar and Mr. Sheikh serves as a great source of motivation for both patients and healthcare staff.
